Published Admission Number - Consultation
The Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team are proposing to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) for the school from 120 to 90, effective from the next academic year, September 2026. This change would affect new Reception intakes moving forward, but will not impact children already attending the school.
Why is this being proposed?
Over recent years, we have seen a decline in the number of applications for Reception places, both at our school and across the local area. The reduction in the PAN would ensure that our class sizes remain manageable, allowing us to continue providing high-quality teaching and learning in an optimal environment. Additionally, this adjustment would allow us to focus our resources more effectively to support all children in achieving the best possible outcomes.
Consultation Period
We are now entering a formal consultation period, which will run from Tuesday 1st October to Tuesday 12th November. During this time, we welcome feedback from parents and carers. Your views are incredibly important to us, and we encourage you to share any thoughts or concerns you may have about this proposal.
To provide feedback or ask any questions, please email us at sarah.rose@kingsacademies.uk or submit written responses to the school office by Tuesday 12th November. We will also be holding a consultation meeting on Wednesday 16th October at 4pm, where you can learn more about the proposal.
